We would've been lost or in an accident trying to figure out how to get to the resort. I would not recommend renting a car.Įspecially if it's your 1st time in Cancun. We didn't have to stop to drop other people off at their resorts. We were taken directly from the airport to Maroma (approximately a 35-45 minute drive). If you are considering private versus group transport, would highly recommend private. This information was helpful since we didn't know what to expect for our 1st trip. Maroma provided us with email confirmations of the transport reservation before I arrived and directions to get through the Cancun airport upon our arrival.

There were no delays and we were very happy with our driver and experience. We used AmStar and they provided transport to the resort upon our arrival and back to the airport for our departure. Private Transport To/From Airport: I scheduled private transport through the resort before we arrived. Emmanuel and Roger, thank you both for all that you did for us and I appreciate all of your thoughtfulness and communication throughout our entire stay. All the staff there are exceptional and work so hard to please. All this to say, the level of service that my husband and I experienced was so amazing. Roger personally called me to make sure that we didn't need anything and he arranged for a bellhop to drive us back to the main building/lobby on the day of our departure. However, he coordinated with Roger who was the concierge in the next building. Finally, for the last two days of our stay, Emmanuel was not working on those days. I really appreciated that because morning tea is my ritual to start my day. Room service was always on time every single day. In turn, he requested that room service deliver a hot kettle of water and green tea for me every morning at 9 am. I asked him if I could have a kettle in the room so that I could make tea every morning. when we arrived Emmanuel wanted to know if there was anything else he could do to make our stay more pleasant. Again, incredible and if you are considering the private beach dinner, just do it. Emmanuel also helped us reserve a private dinner on the beach for my husband's birthday. The level of detail that Emmanuel put into creating the best experience for our stay was beyond any words I can express. Because my husband is not a fan of chocolate, Emmanuel also worked with the chefs at the resort to create a birthday dessert/cake that was vanilla/lemon with strawberries. To prepare for my husband's birthday, Emmanuel and I communicated via WhatsApp so that he could coordinate the birthday banner on the room door, balloons, filled the jacuzzi in our bathroom with bubbles, and provided extra Bacardi for my husband. He also made sure that the turndown service didn't include chocolate treats since I am unable to have it. However, Emmanuel ensured that I had extra bottled water in our room before we even arrived. They already provide bottled water in the rooms and replenish daily. I informed the resort ahead of time that I was diabetic and would need access to a lot of bottled water. Here are just a few examples of the high-quality service he provided. From the time we arrived, he worked overtime to ensure that the room and our experience at the resort was perfect.
